Solid Iris Technologies announces immediate availability of release 2.1 of the Thea Render physically based rendering platform, is the most versatile renderer featuring state-of-the-art Unbiased, Biased and GPU engines.

Thea for SketchUp 2.1:

Material Editor:
- Duplicate Layer - right-click function added
- When switching from Bitmap Texture to SketchUp texture parameters are preserved (Normal/Bump/Tonemapping...)
- Red,Green and Blue Shifts added to Texture Tonemapping
- Layered texture can be removed from texture selector as any other texture type now
- Layer mask can be set now either to Bitmap or Procedural
- RGB or HSV value modification updates also a "current" color in ColorPicker

- Improved behaviour of SliderValue controls - they do not change when hoovering above them with left mouse button pressed
- Scene settings are always loaded when new scene is selected from a list (not only when a check-box is marked)
- Material Presets: Fixed bug with external textures not being found in an immediate or '_files' sub-folder
- FBX Materials Editing : Fix for erroneous material selection from a list in case of some models
- Fixed issues regarding unicode texure paths/names. It was affecting locale like Chinese. Bitmap Textures could not be loaded for example, resulting in black materials
- Fix for CRF/LUT files with long names breaking Rendering tab layout
- Animation: Fixed bug with a camera settings storing animation path - making camera point to a random direction
- Material Editor: Texture Projection type is available for SketchUp Texture now
